Brian Hanaford grew up in a racing family. His Dad, Harold "Hard Luck" Hanaford, was one of the most respected Northern New England Racing Drivers of the 1960’s.

Hanaford’s mentor, Ken Squire, guided him to his first opportunity, created by Mike Massaro’s Media Internship, at Stafford Motor Speedway. "Brian shares the same desire and determination that marked his dad’s success," says Squire. "He has proven that he is willing to do whatever is necessary and demonstrates real creativity as he strives to build a better understanding of America’s leading Motor sports, Stock Car Racing."

Hanaford recognized the lack of media exposure that handicapped New England drivers from gaining sponsorship in the 1960’s still tied the hands of many drivers today. He began writing feature articles for Stafford’s "Pitstopper" magazine. "His knowledge of the sport, and of business, was clearly reflected in the pieces he put together for our NASCAR Featherlite Modified Tour and Busch North Series events. Brian’s strong writing abilities stand on their own merit, but what impressed me most was his determination," said Mike Massaro, racing analyst for ESPN & Sports Center.

Working with international marketing award winner Mike Sullivan at Momentum Resources impacted Hanaford’s for New England Motor sports greatly After learning about Sullivan’s integrated marketing programs that changed the face of motor sport sponsorship, like the Kodak Color of Racing Program, Hanaford Associates began their mission to package a driving experience with regional touring series venues with retail distributors that are ready, willing, and able to position product.

Hanaford Associates Stock Car Driving Experience continues to expand their market to include motor sport enthusiast with disabilities. Hanaford’s NASCAR Cup style racecars are modified with dual seats, low resistant steering, hand control break and gas with instructor’s side break and steering for safety.
